I heard a thousand blended notes....

I absolutely loved this poem! i really enjoyed how he described nature and expressed how he felt in, "what man has made of man." I think we too often just go on with our busy lives and forget to remember and admire Gods creation. I also like how this poem rhymed it was really fun to read and annotate. My favorite quote in this poem was when he said, "Through primrose tufts, in that green bower, the periwinkle trailed its wreaths; And 'tis my faith that every flower, enjoys the air it breaths." That quote really took me into what he was saying and his passion for what he wrote. Also, i loved how in his writing you really felt what he was feeling, saw what he was seeing, and understood what he was writing. Annotating this poem really felt like a breath of fresh air in the middle of all my homework and i am looking forward to annotating another poem similar to this one.

  1. I'm glad someone else sees eye to eye with me about this poem! I completely agree with everything you said. I'm really regretting reading your blog before I write mine, Macey, because I feel like you said everything I want to say perfectly. Fantastic job!
