I Found The Role of the Scholar to be a fascinating read. I enjoyed it thoroughly throughout and though it was very confusing around the beginning, the more I digested and read on, the more I became adjusted to the jargon. He made some valid points on how one who only sits and reads, gathering information, won't know why his point of view is correct in his sight and won't be aware of how to act correctly in society. That made me think of how people perceive homeschoolers. I do personally fully agree with him and I was very surprised at the end of the marvelous essay to see that he emphatically states something to the ringing of, no one can be exact, ready and full and a man being a man will always excel in one while failing in another and perfection, however unattainable is just a common goal. I found it very fun to read and a nice challenge for the intellect.

I agree and think he describes those who only read with great accuracy. One must read converse and write to be able to make a statement back it up with knowledge and write it down for future scholars.
