Literary analysis essays and book reports, when compared are very different. The main difference, however, is in the way they are written. Book reports summarize a story, while literary analysis essays analyze its meaning or message.
Of the two forms of writing, I prefer book reports. I chose this because, as opposed to literary analysis essays, book reports give the reader a summary of the story. Book reports introduce characters and describe events in the story, which allows the reader to decide whether or not the story may interest them. Although I chose this as my prefered style of writing, I still believe that Literary analysis essays are beneficial to the reader.
Kelly, great job! I also prefer book reports over Literary analysis because they are just easier.
